(Bellardi ex All.) Holub
Oreopteris limbosperma, Lemon-scented Fern, is an upland species in Britain associated with moist peaty substrates in moorland and heathland, particularly near ditches and streams. It is an attractive species with bright, pale green fronds which tend to be relatively soft in texture. The manner in which its fronds gradually become narrower towards the base, as the pinnae become shorter, provides a reliable field identification feature. It is widely distributed in West Glamorgan but most common in the upland areas of Neath Port Talbot where it is frequent in moorland areas in the plantations of the Neath and Afan valleys.
