Daucus carota subsp. gummifer - © Barry Stewart
Similar to ssp. carota, but the umbels are convex or only slightly concave in fruit and usually shorter with widely branching stems. It is a strictly coastal plant of sea cliffs primarily but also occurs in dunes and in rocky places near the sea. It occurs along the coast in West Glamorgan with most records from south Gower.
