Cotoneaster dammeri Bearberry Cotoneaster

 A native of central China which was introduced to Britain in 1900. It has a ground-hugging, procumbent growth which covers bare ground on roadsides, open mosaic habitats and railway banks very quickly. There are a few scattered records in West Glamorgan but it is probably under recorded.
