Cephalotaxus fortunei Chinese Plum-yew

W.J. Hooker

Chinese Plum-yew is a conifer that is native to the temperate evergreen forests in the mountains of central and eastern China. It was introduced to Britain by Robert Fortune, a Scottish plant collector, in 1849. Although it is not encountered often in West Glamorgan, nor is it naturalised in the county, it is sometimes found in parks and large gardens.
