Carex oederi Small-fruited Yellow-sedge

Retz.

A fairly distinctive Yellow Sedge mostly of coastal habitats with fluctuating water regimes, such as dune slacks. One of the most confusing things about this species (and other members of the Yellow Sedge complex) is the number of scientific names it has been given in recent years. The 4th edition of Stace's flora uses the name Carex viridula. It is locally common in dune slacks in West Glamorgan.
