Carex extensa Long-bracted Sedge

Hesgen Ddeiligol Hirian

Gooden.

Long-bracted Sedge is a species of brackish habitats in the upper salt marsh. With its very long leaf-like bracts which overtop the infloresence, it is unmistakable. It is fairly common in coastal habits in West Glamorgan and extends inland in saline habitats along the tidal stretch of the River Neath.
