White Sedge is principally a species of peaty mires and valley bogs. The pale green leaves, sharply triangular stems and the pale fruiting heads are distinctive. It occurs in scattered localities in West Glamorgan including the Gower Commons, Crymlyn Fen and in the upland mires, e.g on Gwrhyd Commons between Pontardawe and Cwllynfell.
