Cardamine pratensis Cuckooflower

Blodau'r Cegid Bychain

L.

Cardamine pratensis, Cuckooflower (Lady's Smock), is the most showy bittercress in the British flora. It has much larger flowers than the other British Cardamine species, which vary in colour from white through to deep lilac-pink and which bloom quite early in Spring. It is a plant of wet meadows, verges, marshy grasslands, damp, open areas in woods and cliff ledges. It is common throughout West Glamorgan.
