Cardamine flexuosa, Wavy Bittercress, is a very common, usually biennial crucifer with small white flowers and pinnate leaves. It grows in lots of habitats but it is most common in damp shaded places. It is very similar to Hairy Bittercress (Cardamine hirsuta) which is usually smaller, but it is best told from it by its flowers which contain 6 stamens; Hairy Bittercress flowers have just 4 stamens. It is more widespread in West Glamorgan than Hairy Bittercress and is frequent along forest roads in the uplands and common along the edges of woodlands, in hedgerows and in waste places.
