Aster x versicolor Late Michaelmas Daisy (A. laevis x novi-belgii)

Willd.

Aster x versicolor (Symphyotrichum x versicolor), Late Michelmas-daisy, is a cultivar of garden origin and the hybrid between Glaucous Michaelmas-daisy (Aster laeve) and Confused Michaelmas-daisy (Aster novi-belgii). It is easily confused with Confused Michelmas-daisy and is probably under-recorded in West Glamorgan. Like other naturalised Michaelmas-daisy species it is rhizomatous and may become naturalised to form persistent, long-lived, invasive populations.
