(L.) Rchb. f.
Apium inundatum (Helosciadium inundatum), Lesser Marshwort, is a prostrate, hairless, aquatic or semi-aquatic, perennial umbellifer found in canals, shallow pools and marshes. It prefers nutrient poor, oligotrophic or mesotrophic waters. The highly dissected foliage is similar to that of some Water Crowfoots for which it could be mistaken when not in flower. It has undergone a significant decline in Britain in recent decades and it has been lost from many sites in West Glamorgan where it is now rare with few recent records.
