Anchusa azurea, Garden Anchusa, is the most commonly grown Achusa species in gardens. It escapes occasionally and may also be introduced into the wild in bird seed or as a grain contaminant, but it rarley persists for long. It is a tall perennial with attractive blue flowers and it could be confused with other alkanets and Anchusas in the Boraginaceae. It is rarely recorded outside gardens in West Galmorgan.
