Fr.
Cortinarius stillatitius is a brown-capped webcap whose fruiting body is viscid in young, fresh specimens and with a stem that is flushed violet-blue, sometimes rather faintly. Some authors regard it as synonymous with Cortinarius integerrimus, but others recognise these as two separate species. It can be confused easily with Cortinarius collinitis which has a more striking violet-blue stem and a cap which is richer brown. Both species occur in spruce forests in West Glamorgan.
