Cortinarius bivelus

Cortinarius bivelus is a webcap with an orange-brown cap that often develps darker spots with age and often retains patches of the white veil around the edges The stem is white-grey, sometimes twisted and has a white ring zone that may be faint. It grows with Birch (Betula sp.) and is probably widespread in West Glamorgan, but at present there are few records of it in the county. .
