(Sm.) Muell.Hal.
A tiny, autoicous acrocarpous moss which grows on the vertical faces of shaded calcareous rocks, such as limestone. The absence of a peristome on the capsules is a key identification feature which will separate it from all the other British Seligeria species. It is a rather uncommon species with a scattered western distribution in Britain including a handful of sites in Wales. It was found by Sam Bosanquet in Penard Valley in 2010, which is its only known site in West Glamorgan. Sporophyte capsules are frequent in in summer.
