Cololejeunea rossettiana Rossetti's Pouncewort

(C.Massal.) Schiffn.

A small, Subatlantic (or Submediterranean) liverwort which forms distinctive yellow-green, closely appressed colonies on calcareos rocks in gorges and other shaded habitats. It is rather scare and local in Britain with a few locations in Wales, mostly in the south and particularly near the coast. It is rare in West Glamorgan and only found in Gower. An autoicous species which often produces sporophyte capsules.
