Calypogeia arguta Notched Pouchwort

A small, dioicous leafy liverwort which grows on banks in woodland and heathland in calcifuge communities that include moss species like Dicranella heteromalla, Fissidens bryoides and Pseudotaxiphyllum elegans. It is most common in the west of Britain and is widespread throughout Wales. It is common in West Glamorgan. It is rarely found with sporophyte capsules.
