Calliergonella cuspidata Pointed Spear-moss

(Hedw.) Loeske

A common, dioicous, pleurocarpous moss of the wet edges of tracks, wet grasslands, flushes and the soaked edges of lakes and rivers, particularly where there is some degree of base-richness. It is found throughout Britain and it is very common in West Glamorgan. Sporophyte capsules a rare.
