R.Wilczek & Demaret
A small, dioicous, acrocarpous moss similar to Bryum dichotomum but with much fewer, yellowish-green bulbils in the axils of the upper leaves, which are nevertheless conspicuous. It likes to grow in places that are periodically wet but well-drained, such as river banks, reservoir margins, quarries and arable fields. It is much less common in the west than the east of Britain. There are few records in West Glamorgan. Sporophyte capsules are produced occasionally.
