Brid.
A dioicous moss, resembling Bryum capillare and similar to Bryum torquescens. It grows in fairly dense tufts in the crevices of calcareous rocks. It is a rare species in Britain, mostly in the south with a preference for coastal locations. It is confined to the limestone cliffs of the south Gower coast in West Glamorgan where it is frequent between Southgate and Rhosilli. It produces capsules occasionally.
