Blasia pusilla Common Kettlewort

L.

A locally abundant thallose liverwort in Britain found on damp tracks, banks, roadsides and waste ground. It is dioicous and capsules are occasional. The tranlucent thallus produces unmistakable gemma flasks and star-shaped gemmae. It is rather scarce and unpredictable in West Glamorgan where populations rarely persist in one place for long.
