Brid.
A synoicous, arctic-montane, acrocarpous moss found in upland or mountain rock crevices, particularly on mildly calcareous sandstones. It is a fairly typical cliff species where there is some base-rich seepage. It has a distinct western and northwern distribution in Britain, but it is rare in West Glamorgan with records from Crag y Llyn and the waterfall valleys above Glyn Neath.
