Veronica x franciscana Hedge Hebe

Eastw.

A very attractive shrubby plant with violet-blue or pinkish-purple flowers, often used for amenity planting in parks and on retail and industrial estates and commonly used for hedging in seaside locations. It is the hybrid between Veronica elliptica and Veronica speciosa and is well naturalised in much of Britain. Good examples can be seen in hedges along the main road through Baglan Energy Park.
