Spiraea japonica Japanese Spiraea

L. f.

A small shrub native to Japan with coarsly toothed leaves, which produces attractive, flat-topped imflorescens of pink flowers. It is often grown in gardens and planted in hedges on industrial parks and other urban, amenity areas. It doesn't occur naturalised in West Galmorgan but it does persist as a relic of cultivation in some places.
