Populus 'Balsam Spire' P. balsamifera x trichocarpa

A distinctive balsam poplar with a narrow outline which is often planted in parks and around playing fields where it is generallly used as a wind break or for screening. It is one of the most planted poplars in Britain. All trees in Britain are females. It does not sucker and is not found naturalised.
