Drosera anglica - © Charles Hipkin
Huds.
A rare sundew in southern Britain and extremely scarce in Wales. Similar to Oblong Sundew (Drosera intermedia) but somewhat larger and with straight leaf stalks that arise from the centre of the rosettes and which are longer than the leaves when the inflorescence is mature. It is a species of blanket bogs, often growing in water and in wet, flushed habitats. It was recorded from Crymlyn Bog and form Town Hill, Swansea, in the 19th Century but there have been no records from anywhere in south Wales in more recent times and it is presumed to be extinct here.
