Opiz
A softly hairy perennial with leaves arranged in fours (like a cross) and whorls of small, yellowish flowers which have a redolent, honey-like scent. It is a plant of grasslands, hedgerows and open woodland on neutral or calcareous soils. It is frequent in Gower but much rarer in the South Wales Coalfield where it is confined to small population in coastal grasslands and valley-base woodlands with more basic, mineral soils.
