Rehder & E.Wilson

A native of western China which was first cultivated in Britain in the early 20th Century. Like other Cotoneaster species its berries are eaten by frugiverous birds which are intrumental in its dispersal and spread. It grows in open mosaic habitats, railways, walls and other waste places. It has a spreading growth form, similar to others and it is probably under recorded in West Glamorgan.
