Cerastium semidecandrum Little Mouse-ear

A small  pale green, glandular-hairy annual with small, five-petalled white flowers which are usually enclosed and partly obscured by bracts that have transparent, scarious tips. It is a common plant of dry open, sandy soils and is found in all the sand dune systems in West Glamorgan, particularly along well trodden paths. It has an almost exclusively coastal distribution in our area.
