Alopecurus pratensis, Meadow Foxtail, is a common, perennial grass of moist, fertile grasslands. It is an indicator species of flood plane meadows and grazing marshes where it can be the dominant graminoid species. It is a recommended component in the creation and establishment of biodiverse wildflower meadows.
