With.
Narrow-leaved Water-plantain is an aquatic plant which is associated with canals throughout most of its British range and in West Glamorgan it is largely confined to the Neath Canal and environs. Its apparent absence from the nearby Tennant Canal is intriguing. It is very similar to the much more common and broader-leaved Common Water-plantain (Alisma plantago-aquatica) but unlike that species it has a more southern distribution in Europe and differs from it in the morphology of its leaves, which narrow gradualy towards the stalk. It is easy to overlook.
