Xanthoparmelia conspersa Peppered Rock-shield

(Ehrh. ex Ach.) Hale

Xanthoparmelia conspersa is a common, foliose lichen on  siliceous rock in Britain, but is rather local in West Glamorgan. The yellow-green or yellow-grey thallus bears distinctive coralloid isidia. 

Listed under Parmelia conspersa by Alan Orange in Flora of Glamorgan (Wade et al, 1994).
