Porpidia cinereoatra

(Ach.) Hertel & Knoph

Porpidia cinereoatra is a common crustose lichen on siliceous rocks in the uplands and is particularly common on exposed dry stone walls. The white, or grey thallus is distincty cracked and usually bears lots of black apothecia that are up to 2mm in diameter.
