Myriolecis (Lecanora) persimilis

(Th. Fr.) Sliwa, Zhao Xin & Lumbsch

An easily overlooked pioneer species found growing on twigs and small branches of trees such as Ash, Elder and Oak. The inconspicuous greyish thallus typically forms small patches between other lichens, the most obvious field character being dense clusters of flat pale brown discs.
