Fr.
Lactarius mammosus, Pap Milkcap, is a rare Milkcap associated with conifers in Britain. Its only known site in West Glamorgan is in Pelenna Forest where it is associated with Sitka Spruce. There are few records of it from Wles but it is to be expected in areas with mature conifer plantations. Like Lactarius glyciosmus (Coconut Milkcap) it has a pleasant, sweet, coconut scent but it is more robust than that species and has a clay-buff or brownish coloured cup, which is slightly scurfy, particularly at the edges of the cap. Its association with conifers also ditinguishes it from Coconut Milkcap.
