Cortinarius largus Big-Bellied Webcap

Fr.

Cortinarius largus produces robust fruiting bodies which are blue-violet when young but become more brown in the cap with age. It is found in Beech woodland where the fruiting bodies are often found clustered together in groups. It is probably widespread in this habitat in West Glamorgan but there are relatively few records of it.
