(Fr.) Neville & Poumarat
A common species with a grey-brown cap usually covered with flat, greyish partial veil fragments and a bulbous stem with concentric scales below the striated ring. It is very similar to the Blusher (Amanita rubescens) and easily confused with it. However that species has pinkish or reddish tones especially when cut or damaged. It is widespread in West Glamorgan in broadleaved and coniferous woodland.
