(Hedw.) Fedosov & Ignatov
Formerly known as Seligeria recurvata, this tiny brownish moss which grows on sandstone rocks and boulders is the most common Seligeria species in Britain. Even though it often forms large colonies it is only conspicuous when it has its sporophyte capsules, which are borne on prominently curved seta. It is almost exclusively confined to the north and west of Britain except for a curious outlying cluster of sites in the south of England. It is very rare in West Glamogan and only recorded from Craig y Llyn, where it occurs at the southern limit of its distribution in Wales.
