Baker
An attractive evergreen shrub with sharply-toothed leaves and terminal clusters of daisy-like flowers that are produced in summer. It is native to New Zealand and sometimes grown for hedging in gardens, parks and industrial estates, mostly in coastal areas. It produces good seed which may be self-sown, so it is capable of naturalising and was first recorded wild in Britain in 1947. Most records in West Glamorgan are from places where it has been planted for hedging, e.g. Baglan Energy Park.
