Draba muralis Wall Whitlowgrass

Bystwn y Fagwyr

L.

An uncommon, slender, white-flowered winter annual which grows on walls and south-facing limestone rock. Unlike some other similar whitlow-grasses and cresses, the petals are not notched. It has a scattered distribution in Britain, mostly in the west but it is rather scarce in Wales. In West Glamorgan it is known only from a few locations in Gower. Some wall populations could be garden escapes and the long-standing population that grew on an old wall near Kilvrough Manor, Gower, was regarded as an established introduction in 'Flora of Glamorgan'.

Native (possibly a garden escape in some locations)
