Chenopodium quinoa Quinoa

Willd.

Similar to Fat Hen (Chenopodium album) but with very dense, top heavy inflorescences which give rise to yellowish, orange or red fruits and growing in similar habitats but also widely grown for game feed. It is one of several segregates that have been given species status (see description of Chenopodium album). Few records in West Glamorgan from arable land in west Gower.
