Chamaemelum nobile Chamomile

Camameil

(L.) All.

A short perennial with a strong aromatic scent which has a spreading, turf-forming growth form. It grows in acidic, unfertilised grasslands including grazed pastures and lawns. It is an uncommon species in Britain which has declined markedly in the last 60 years. It is very rare in West Glamorgan where most recent records are from village greens and grassy commons in Gower.
