Latourr.
A loosely tufted sedge with shortly creeping rhizomes. It is mostly a plant of calcareous grassland but it has wide ecological tolereance and also occurs occasionally in more acidic grassy verges. It is very common in the limestone grasslands along the south Gower coast but it may be under recorded in other parts of the county where it could be confused with Carex pilulifera (Pill Sedge).
