Campanula rotundifolia, harebell, is an attractive blue bellflower of well-drained acidic and basic grasslands, on coastal and inland cliffs and in fixed dunes. It is common and widespread in suitable places throughout Britain. In West Glamorgan it is only common in Gower where it occurs as a frequent member of the limestone cliff and grassland flora. It is very scarce in Neath Port Talbot with small populations on the coast and on the cliffs above Llyn Fach, but it is virtually absent from the South Wales Coalfield region.
