Le Gall
Callitriche obtusangula, Blunt-fruited Water-starwort, has a widespread but fairly local distribution in lowland Britain. It is a plant of calcareous, mesotrophic or eutrophic, slow-flowing waters such as ditches and canals and sometimes in brackish water. It is distinguishable by its unwinged fruits and its elongated and somewhat curved pollen. It hasn't been recorded often in West Glamorgan, but there are some scattered records, particularly in Gower.
