Briza maxima, Greater Quaking-grass, is a Mediterranean annual widely grown in gardens throughout the world as an ornamental grass and is commonly used in floral arrangements. It sometimes occurs as a casual escape in West Glamorgan. It is almost unmistakable and does not persist to form long-lived, wild populations.
