Linnaeus

Atriplex hortensis, Garden Orache, is a tall, erect annual, sometimes cultivated as an ornamental plant in Britain, which probably originates from Asia. It occurs naturalised in waste places occasionally and is sometimes found as a birdseed alien. It was introduced to Britain in the 16th Century and was widely cultivated as crop until the 18th Century. It is rarely recorded in West Glamorgan.
