(Linnaeus) Scop.
A white-flowered biennial or perennial crucifer which grows in sand dunes, on calcareous soils and on limestone rock. The short, unbranched, hairy stems which arise from a basal rosette have clasping, upper leaves and abundant, tightly appressed. cylindrical seed pods. It has a local distribution in West Glamorgan where it is frequent on the cliffs and in sand dunes along the south Gower coast and in coastal areas of Neath Port Talbot, particularly in dunes, e.g. Crymlyn Burrows. It is abundant in the open mosaic habitats of Baglan Energy Park and also occurs in small amounts in the calcareous gravel edges along some forest roads.
