Cynffonwellt Elinog

Linnaeus

Alopecurus geniculatus, Marsh Foxtail, is a perennial grass of wet grasslands, the margins of lakes and grazing marshes. It is widespread in West Glamorgan and can be locally frequent, forming carpets in marshy habitats. The 'bent knee' (geniculate), ascending form of its growth is one of its characteristic features together with the slender foxtail appearance of its inflorescence.
