Indian Horse-chestnut is a native of the Himalayas. It very similar to Horse-chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) but it is generally more slender with narrower leaflets that are more finely toothed than Horse-chestnut's and twigs that tend to hang down. The leaves turn orange in autumn. It is planted occasionally in parks but does not occur naturalised in West Glamorgan.
